Sergei Kabashov, professionally known as The Surrge, is a Slavic-American artist, producer, songwriter, and engineer based in Los Angeles. Since 2020, he has been developing a sound shaped by his Slavic background and life in the United States, bringing his signature electronic edge to R&B, rap, and pop. His songwriting weaves English and Russian together, giving voice to both sides of his cultural identity.
He handles most of the work on his own releases, from production and recording to mixing and mastering—an approach shaped by years of hands-on work in studios across New York City and Miami. There, he produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered for artists and assisted on major-label sessions at Penthouse Studios (French Montana), House of Hits (Lil Baby, Central Cee, Ice Spice, Moneybagg Yo, 42 Dugg, BIA), and Engine Room Audio (Dave East, Joey Bada$$). He trained under Mark Christensen through Recording Connection School in New York and later under Vincent Andre “Vinny” DeLeon, also known as Mr. Mix and Master, at House of Hits in Miami.
